Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Vyrn ("we," "us," "our") collects when you interact with Vyrn Bot on Discord, how that data is used, and your rights regarding it. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and transparently.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect passwords, payment information, email addresses, or any biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Security enforcement: IP records are used to detect and prevent ban evasion, duplicate account abuse, and proxy circumvention.
• Verification: Your IP is linked to your Discord account to enforce the one-account-per-IP policy within a given server.
• Moderation support: Server administrators may request a summary of data associated with a specific user ID for moderation purposes.
• Service improvement: Aggregate, non-identifying statistics (e.g. total verified users) may be used to improve the Bot.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• With the server administrator(s) of the Discord server(s) you interact with, for moderation purposes.
• If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Vyrn, its users, or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on the machine hosting Vyrn Bot, in JSON files on the operator's filesystem. Data is not transmitted to external servers or cloud services. Access is restricted to the server owner who operates the Bot. While we implement reasonable safeguards, no storage system is completely immune to unauthorised access.

5. Data Retention

IP records and verification data are retained indefinitely to support ongoing ban-evasion detection. Server administrators may manually purge records for their server at any time. If you are unbanned and your record removed, your IP association will no longer be used for evasion detection in that server.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legitimate security interests).
• Object to processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our support server. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance.
